"Aboriginal people are now faced with a new danger of extinction and denial, by the present Federal government for Mr Abbott, like his predecessor John Howard has set on a crusade to abolish aboriginal identification and ownership.

It is now time that Aboriginal people as a nation of one come together at a joint summit to discuss all these issues.

If we can bring the mob together then we need to call on the last elected body that we had to step up and be the leaders we long for.

I propose that we call all of the last elected ASTIC chairpeople to attend a joint summit at the Aboriginal Tent Embassy before the end of parliament this year to discuss and to review the issues that we now face, and to re-establish the 10 point plan program set down by Ferguson Paterson many years ago.

We need to act now and not later for if we sit back and allow this government to continue its onslaught to Aboriginal resources, and all this that we are facing today began with John Howard, so we need to step back in time to the days of solidarity and raise again as that group did in the late days of the 60s and early 70s and confront the situation as one nation. This will give each group the opportunity to have a say."
